Marrakesh Street Portraits

Street portraits definitely work well in conjunction to street photography, They tell a story of how people live on a daily basis in their city; wether they are just mingling to the person next them in the market or just causally standing - every action and movement tells a story.

One of the areas I really focus on is the edit. I love the look of old style pictures - the simplicity and aesthetics. I like vibrant colours and warm tones in the pictures and editing my pictures in this style really simulates that.

These images were taken whilst walking by. I would so call this style hip shooting.

The view at day is definitely a lot more different in comparison to night. The best time to visit is at night - its like this location comes to life at night.

Jamaa El-Fena at night

In comparison to the picture above taken at day time you can see the immense difference in the environment; the smoke raising in the night sky, the strong smell of spice from the cooked food to the sound of street entertainers and market vendors.

Some vegetables vendors located in the Medina/Old town Green fresh produce locally grown and harvested, ready to be sold to the locals.. The produce is definitely organically grown in the sun, the fresh smell of the herbs can be smelt from a long distance.
